In May I started a few college courses after being out of school for almost 20 years. Last week was “finals week,” and I could not wait to finish up. I was excitedly looking forward to my three-week break between Summer and Fall courses…until around 5:30 this morning I groggily realized that August 21st is only two weeks away. Some of you can understand my disappointment. But in my prayer-time, I was quickly reminded that just like in my school schedule, in life I don’t have as much time as I think. None of us do.
Too many people leave this world believing they have way more time to: apologize, fix that relationship, spend more time with the ones they love, see the places they want to see, say the thing they want to say, accomplish the dreams they have in their heart and the ones God has placed there, or worst of all, commit their lives to Christ. None of us have all the time we think we have to do what needs or desires to be done. We procrastinate or avoid for many reasons. Regardless of the reason, I’m here to ask you not to let it be because of discouragement or doubt. No matter how hard it has been, bad it has gotten, or long it has taken…KEEP MOVING! I’m saying this to me as much as or more than I am to you! When you see or hear me wanting to give up, just say one word: MOVE! I’ll do the same for you!
Along that same vein, next Monday we will (finally) begin our Summer Bible Study Blog on The Christian Woman Chronicles page. We will be talking about “Goals in God,” and how to practically accomplish great things in God when He has given us a vision. This study will give you a snapshot of what it means to have confidence in God, put that confidence to work, and watch great things unfold. If you have never read about Nehemiah in the Bible, this is your chance to get a peek into one of my favorite books of the Bible. If you're really intrigued, you should really read the entire book! I hope you will check out our page at this link each Tuesday evening between August 15th-September 5th.
On September 11th, we will be re-starting our year-long study of Psalm 20, with Psalm 20 verse 6 which says, “Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.” We’re getting back into the swing of things! Stay tuned and don’t forget to KEEP MOVING!
