Say Yes

Week 4

Ladies, I pray you received all God had for you during this Prayer Planning Session. It was certainly a pleasure meeting you all. For the upcoming year, I want to encourage us to keep our "Yes" at the forefront of our minds. Let's declare a year of intentionality, surrendering all to Him. Often, we are either distracted by the enemy, struggling with our insecurities or can be so overwhelmed that we tend to try and take back what we have given God. However, I pray this "Yes" that we have given throughout this session is a wholehearted confession to allow God to use us as He sees fit. I pray our minds, souls, and bodies are completely aligned to doing the will of the Father.

Just as Jesus agreed with the Father in Luke 22:42, "Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done," may we also continue to surrender our hearts and our will for God to do what He wants. I decree and declare the favor of the Lord covers us in everything we place within our hands. This will SURELY be a year of blessings as we are intentional in surrendering all!

The Re-Purposed Life series began as an idea based on a revelation I received after a grueling seven days of back to back job interviews. As a fifty something year old recent college graduate starting a new career, I was originally anxious sending out my resume. As interview invitation after invitation came pouring in, I was overwhelmed, but pleased. After each interview, I observed how even younger generations were impressed and inspired by the fact that I had changed careers mid-life. It was a sign to me about the way God directs our lives.

I realized that God never lets us stay too long in one place or one state of being. He's about change. Change does more than present us with opportunities, it does something within us as well. Change keeps us sharp. Change keeps us flexible. Change keeps us youthful. But more than all that, the traits that come with EMBRACING change make us useful in a world where "old" things, and people, are increasingly sought to be disposed of.
