"A man’s heart plans his way,
But the Lord directs his steps."
~Proverbs 16:9 (NKJV)
I hope each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with lots of family, food, and laughter! If you were alone, sick, or suffering, please know that you were in my family’s thoughts and prayers. Those who know my testimony, know that our family spent a few major holidays in a homeless shelter several years ago. And I just recently loss one of my closest friends, who was also my cousin, and closer than a sister. I had just celebrated her life and devotion to Costly Oil in one of my July blogs honoring Friends of the Ministry, and several weeks later she was with The Lord. As you can imagine, she has consumed my thoughts this holiday season. But, I share these things because I want you all to know that our family has certainly had personal experience with great loss during times that are meant to be celebrated. I never take abundance for granted, and I never forget those who are where I have been!
With the Fall moving into Winter, it feels like it has been forever since I have written you! I have been on a personal hiatus of sorts for the past month or so. I have been diligently attending to professional publishing projects, and I am happy to say that one of my latest client’s book was released two weeks ago! The pre-sales were overwhelming, the books are out for delivery, and her first book signing was a huge hit this past Saturday! I am so very proud of this young Author. Thank you all for being patient with me as God blesses me to fulfill my passion by Helping Women Discover Themselves…One Interaction at a Time!
But even as I’ve been busy doing practical things, I have been deep in God’s presence, seeking His will for myself, my family, and certainly for Costly Oil, along with all the ministry aspects of His organization. I was not disappointed! I have clearly felt The Lord speaking to me, and giving me a fresh vision for 2016. I am so excited to share with all of you the plans I feel The Lord has placed on my heart!
Over the next few weeks I would like to ask that as you read our weekly blogs, you also take a moment to check out the rest of the site. You will notice changes taking place as I add more information and links to helpful resources for growing stronger in our Walk With God and Others. You will also find information and links to helpful resources to help in our practical calling and work endeavors. But the biggest change will take place right here at Make Mondays Matter!
Beginning in 2016, each year the entire site will adopt a theme as I feel guided by God. That theme will be the focus of all MMM and Bible Study Blogs; and, will be highlighted in the links and informational resources provided on our new Christian Woman Chronicles Page. This soon to be updated Page will not only be restructured, but The Christian Woman Chronicles Ministry goal itself will be completely redefined! I cannot tell you how excited and thankful I am right now for this fresh wind of vision and direction! I have such great anticipation about how this restructuring and yearlong theme will focus our Walk With God and Others.
So please stay tuned and keep your eyes open for all the new changes as we reveal what I feel God is speaking for 2016! And thank you for reading such an extended blog piece as I share my heart after such a long break from you. I have truly missed these times, and look forward to writing to you regularly once again!
I love and appreciate you all soooooo much!
With Sincere Gratitude,
Dawn~
