However, what I have done is formulate a critical question for thought, designed to put things in keen perspective the next time we are tempted to question God's timing. Ask yourself, "Why did God wait until Isaac was laid and bound to the altar before God made the provision He had already prepared known?" If you can courageously approach that question, not even caring for the answer, there is a good chance you can hold on and keep going. And if you happen to find your promise on the altar of sacrifice as a result of taking the risk to obey God, your outcome may very well resemble the one Abraham received...which is still in effect today.
