There are some (many) things that we can claim, confess and pray for . However, although we can pray for a harvest, harvest primarily comes from our effort. I hear people sing the song that says, "Its a new season...;" and, yes its great to look forward to new seasons. But let's talk about seasons...
Seasons come and go with or without us and/or our participation. Singing about a "New Season" is nothing more than stating or rejoicing in the inevitable. It will come whether we want it to, recognize it, or are prepared for it or not. But what we do, the effort we expend, the energy and resources we invest, and the hardships we endure during the previous three seasons is what determines the harvest (if any) of the fourth.
YES: pray for and rejoice in the changing season. But also work so that the new season can bring an abundant and well earned harvest with it as well!
